Sending flowers to a friend who is jewish and just passed away. looking for a Jewish quote to put on card!!?
Jewish people are more likely to make a donation than send flowers to mark someone's passing. Most synagogues will include a list of donations received in their newsletter and send a wee notice to the family. It's a really nice tradition.
If you want to do this, the donation can be to the synagogue or another organization that was important to the person. Financial amount doesn't matter, it's a way of helping others and continuing the 'work' that the person did.
If the phrase you're looking for 'May his/her memory be for a blessing'? You can include a variation on that if you like.
