Can I use my debit card for internet transactions(say for sending flowers to US)?

Yes you can. Paypal.com lets you put all of your card info into their servers. and wham you can order anything off of ebay..and now a days most websites let you pay with anything, even a check. and dont be affraid of paypal. i have run into people trying to screw me out of money. paypal takes care of it..they are great

Reply:Yes, you can although there is a high fraud risk. Some one else mentioned PayPal which isn't a bad idea as long as you use merchants that accept PayPal. Or, you can get a credit card that protects you from online fraud like the a.K.a Card.

Reply:If you mean a debit card that has a Visa or MasterCard logo on it, absolutely. A merchant is supposed to honor these to be as good as a credit card issued with the same company. The issue you may come across is whether your bank billing address matches the shipping address. If it's an online florist you are purchasing from, this is likely not an issue--they deal more often in sending gifts to addresses that are not the buyers' own.
